Programme description
Blue Sage Tax and Accounting Inc. sends text messages to clients and prospective clients who have opted in. Messages relate to your enquiry or engagement and may include appointment reminders, confirmations, filing deadline notices, requests for missing documents, and responses to questions you have sent us.
How you opt in
You opt in by ticking the SMS consent box on our contact form and providing your mobile number, by texting us first, or by giving us verbal or written consent during an engagement.
Consent is not a condition of purchase. You can become a client and receive every service we offer without agreeing to receive text messages.
Message frequency and cost
Message frequency varies and depends on your engagement and the time of year. It is typically higher around filing deadlines.
Message and data rates may apply. Your mobile carrier’s standard rates apply to messages you send and receive. Blue Sage does not charge for text messages.
How to opt out
Reply STOP to any message to opt out. You will receive one confirmation message and then no further messages. You can also opt out by emailing info@bluesage.tax or calling 646-363-6771.
Reply HELP for help, or contact us directly at 646-363-6771 or info@bluesage.tax.
If you opt out and later want to resume messages, you can opt back in through any of the methods described above.
Carriers and delivery
Message delivery depends on your mobile carrier and is not guaranteed. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Because delivery cannot be guaranteed, do not rely on text messages for time-critical filing matters — call us instead.
Mobile data policy
No mobile information will be sold or shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties.
We share your mobile number only with the messaging provider that delivers the messages on our behalf, and only for that purpose.
Privacy and sensitive information
Text messages are not a secure channel. Do not send Social Security numbers, bank account details, or tax documents by text. We will send you a secure portal link for anything sensitive.
Our full privacy policy describes how we handle personal information.
