About Blue Sage
Blue Sage Tax and Accounting Inc. is a boutique accounting firm in Bayside, Queens, founded by Fahadun “Neo” Nabi after 18+ years in public accounting. The firm works with small business owners and self-employed professionals across the United States, with particular depth in S-corporations, multi-state filings, and IRS notice resolution.
Why the firm exists
I spent 18+ years in public accounting before starting Blue Sage Tax and Accounting
Inc. Toward the end of that stretch I watched something happen repeatedly: firms
would get acquired, prices would go up, and the small business clients — the ones
who actually needed someone to pick up the phone — would quietly move to the
bottom of the list.
Those clients did not need less attention. They needed more of it, because they
were the ones without a finance department, without an in-house controller, and
without anyone to tell them that a decision they were about to make had a
tax consequence.
Blue Sage Tax and Accounting Inc is built for them. Small enough that you talk to
the person who prepares your return, and experienced enough that the work is
done to the standard of a much larger firm.
How we work
Fixed prices, quoted in writing before anything starts. A projection before the year
closes rather than a number delivered in April. Notices answered by us rather than
forwarded back to you with a suggestion to call the IRS.
Most of our clients are somewhere in the New York metropolitan area, and we are
happy to meet at the Bayside office. But roughly as many are elsewhere in the
country and we have never met them in person, which works perfectly well.
